DGM 450 - Media Ethics Credits: 3 This course provides a theoretical foundation that will enable students to identify and analyze ethical issues in media. Students will have an opportunity to examine diverse ethical theories and perspectives pertaining to communication contexts from print to digital media. Emphasis is on the ethical and moral dilemmas that news, advertising, public relations, and entertainment organizations face in conjunction with their professional obligations and market pressures. In addition, students will discuss, collaborate, and apply various ethical theories and frameworks to examine and address challenges posed by real-world examples and case studies.
