GEOL 496 - Seminar in Geology Credits: 1 A review of all of the courses in the core areas of geology: physical, historical, mineralogy, petrology, sedimentology, stratigraphy, geomorphology, structural geology, paleontology, and field methods. This Capstone course is a requirement for graduating seniors in geology, and will serve as preparation for professional licensure. The course will integrate all of the fundamental concepts and skills that a geologist should have. Included will be problem solving, and other practical applications that will involve fieldwork. Lecture and field exercises: Three hours per week.
Prerequisite(s): Senior Standing. Offered: F; S.
