BIOL 394 - Biodiversity Credits: 3 An account of the cause and state of global biological diversity and the impact of environmental change on past diversity. Topics include molecular and organismal level biodiversity and speciation, conservation, and effect of human activities on biodiversity. Special emphasis on biomedical research, genetic engineering of foods, and human infectious diseases. Lecture: three hours.
