BIOL 303 - Parasitology Credits: 3 Provides up-to-date information on the basic biology, pathology, and epidemiology of important human parasites. Topics covered include parasite characteristics, host/parasite interactions, life cycles, distribution, pathogenicity, diagnosis, treatment, and control of parasite groups from protozoa to arthropods. The course also explores evolutionary aspects of host-parasite interactions. Lecture: 3 hours.
