SPED 438 - Assessing and Teaching Math to Diverse Learners

Credits: 3
Candiates learn to assess and teach mathematics to diverse learners. Candidates will provide instruction that moves from the concrete to the abstract and will utilize formative assessment data to make instructional decisions. Emphasis is placed on addressing underlying basic concepts while meeting grade level competencies. 30-hour field experience required.

Prerequisite(s): Admission into the Educator Preparation Program
