MUSA 362 - Applied Trumpet

Applied Music for Majors, Minors, and Special Students
Individual instruction in piano, organ, voice, wind, percussion and selected string instruments with prescribed literature for each level of achievement. Two semester hours credit will be given on basis of one 50-minute lesson and eight hours of practice per week with satisfactory progress on the level in which enrolled. One hour credit will be given on basis of one 25-minute lesson and four hours practice per week. Examination before a jury of music faculty members required of all music majors. Each applied teacher will address performance health and improvisational techniques with all students. Pedagogical issues will also be addressed. Further information found in Departmental Handbook. May be repeated for credit.
