SOWK 310 - Advanced Interviewing and Intervention Skills Credits: 3 This course builds upon the Fundamentals of Interviewing course and emphasizes the various skills needed in conducting professional social work interviews at the generalist practice level. Students practice key skills such as engagement, listening, data collection, assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, termination, and follow-up. Role-plays and video-taped interviews will provide students opportunities to demonstrate the professional use of self.
