POLS 484 - International Organization Credits: 3 Explores membership in international and regional organizations, their genesis and historical evolution. Examines the activities of governmental and non-governmental organizations; their logic of design; their objectives; and some of the ways these organizations respond to global challenges such as threats to international peace and security and, in particular, terrorism; egregious international crimes; endemic poverty; global warming; and persistent underdevelopment among some members of the international community.
