ENGL 431 - Early Modern Global Texts Credits: 3 Students will study a variety of genres (poetry, polemic, drama, novels) that represent global concerns and historical moments from the early modern period. Students will focus on how larger themes such as exploration, discovery, and colonization, political structures like monarchies and parliament, and global market economies and how they both influenced literature and texts and responded to larger movements and events.
