BIOL 486 - Scientific Communication and Capstone
Credits: 3
This Capstone course evaluates the student’s ability to understand and communicate complex scientific concepts in written and verbal formats. Emphasizes critiquing scientific articles, scientific writing, use of the library, writing professional documents; and conducting scientific presentations. Standardized knowledge and critical thinking exams may be conducted outside the meeting period. Students must receive C or better in Scientific Communication and Capstone course. Lecture: three hours.
Prerequisite(s): Senior classification Biology major or Marine Environmental Sciences major or Instructor’s written consent.
