BIOL 102 - General Biology for Majors II Credits: 4 An introductory second course of a two-semester sequence in conjunction with BIOL 101 and required of all Biology majors as a prerequisite to all core courses. Covers fundamental concepts in biology with emphasis on evolution, ecology, taxonomy and biodiversity, with overview of microbiology, botany, zoology, and comparisons of the anatomy and physiology of diverse animals and the human body. Lecture: three hours; laboratory: two hours; may include tutorial: one-two hours.
Prerequisite(s): BIOL 101 , BIOL 102. Offered: F;S.
