BIOL 606 - Immunology Credits: 3 In-depth study of the immune system. Emphasis on immunochemistry, humoral and cellular immunity, transplantation and tumor immunology, and the role of the immune system in the prevention of and recovery from diseases caused by human pathogens. The role of the immune system in allergy, transplantation, immunodeficiency diseases such as AIDS, and autoimmune diseases.
Prerequisite(s): Microbiology, Genetics, Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry or the written consent of the instructor.
