Curriculum: Minor in Secondary Education
Students completeing a the BA in History with a concentration in Social Studies Education, must complete the minor in Secondary Education which includes student teaching for licensure. Most free electives will be the prescribed secondary education minor courses listed below. Taking courses beyond EDUC 210 and SPED 310 require admission to the Educator Preparation Program (EPP). Admission to the EPP requires a formal application process and passing scores on the PRAXIS Core. Students are recommended to start this process no later than their sophomore year.
