ELEM 625 - Differentiated Instruction Credits: 3 This course will ensure that candidates have the professional and pedagogical knowledge and skills necessary to meet the needs of all 21st century learners. Candidates will respond to the needs of students with learning, behavior, and emotional disabilities who are diverse in culture and learning style, among other factors. Upon completion of the course, all candidates will be able to do the following with a rating of proficient or higher (80% or higher): Demonstrate the professional and pedagogical knowledge and skills necessary to meet the needs of all 21st century learners. Develop and submit a plan of action that requires the selection and implementation of strategies that answers the questions related to student achievement and differentiated instruction, addresses the problem of the achievement gap, and promotes educational initiatives that positively affect student learning-specifically a plan that implements Differentiated Instruction.
