EDUC 631 - Qualitative Research Methods Credits: 3 This course explores the principles and practices of qualitative research, providing the skills and methodologies necessary to conduct in-depth studies in various academic and applied fields. The course covers a range of qualitative research designs with a focus on data collection techniques such as interviews, focus groups, observations, and content analysis. Students will learn how to analyze and interpret qualitative data through coding, thematic analysis, and narrative construction, emphasizing the importance of context, subjectivity, and reflexivity in the research process. The course also examines ethical considerations in qualitative research, including issues of consent, confidentiality, and researcher bias.
