BIOL 516 - Medical Microbiology Credits: 3 Pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of human pathogens, including bacteria, protozoa, and fungi. Emphasis will be on sources and properties of alkaloids, glycosides, steroids, and antibiotics.
Prerequisite(s): Introductory Microbiology and one year of Organic Chemistry or the written consent of the instructor.
