HIST 141H - History of World Civilization, 1500 - to the Present, Honors Credits: 3 World Civilization from 1500 to the present. Survey of the political economic, social, and intellectual history of European, American, African, and Asian societies. Particular attention is devoted to the growth of nationalism, the age of revolution, new achievements in science and art, the effects of European colonialism on the indigenous peoples of Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle-East, and the causes and results of the First World War, Second World War. This course will also include the use of technology, critical reading, critical thinking and critical writing assignments.
