CJ 401 - Criminal Behavior and Typologies Credits: 3 This course examines the basis for the process of criminal profiling and its use in the criminal justice system. Various facets of the criminal behavior profiling process will be examined utilizing numerous case studies, including the typology of the offender, deception, crime scene analysis, and interpretation of evidence. Consideration of the foundational assumptions for, basic approaches to, the limitation and the alternatives to criminal profiling will also be included.
